Abstract

The Front Cover shows the wide variety of novel (metalla)heterocycles obtained from the reactions of iron mono- and bis(borylene) complexes with carbodiimides. These result from complex branching and interwoven reaction pathways involving successive cycloaddition, metathesis, insertion, and C−H activation steps, dependent on the sterics of the carbodiimide substituents (Graphic design: Dr. Merle Arrowsmith; background image from NASA′s Earth Observatory). More information can be found in the Full Paper by H. Braunschweig and co-workers.
