Abstract

The front cover picture illustrates that N-hexylbenzamide is produced by flow. It depicts that the methyl benzoate and n-hexylamine as starting materials flow from upstream, and they react with each other to form an amide product by passing through pebbles that stand for the zirconium oxide catalysts. The new flow system enables direct reaction of fundamental substrates, carboxylic acid ester and amine, to realize green chemistry such as low environment load, high efficiency substance conversion, and safe process.
