Abstract

The front cover illustrates an oxidative annulation reaction of aldehydes, 5-aminopyrazoles, and nitriles achieved under the oxidation of I2/O2. The theme picture of “Monkey king stealing elixirs” (from “Journey to the West”) was used to represent the one-pot generation of valuable pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine products that light up lipid droplets in living cells, similar to the piercing eyes gained after the Monkey king ingested the elixir.
