Abstract

Front Cover. The essential oil from Mentha piperita and menthol inhibited the in situ growth of Fusarium sambucinum which is a causal agent of soft rot in cera peppers (Capsicum pubescens). The essential and menthol improved the shelf life of cera peppers up to ten days. These components also exerted a protective effect in the nutritional and nutraceutical content of the chili peppers studied, as reported by Villa-Ruano et al. in their research article at 10.1002/cbdv.202100835.
