Abstract

DOI: 10.1002/elps.202200234 The cover picture shows a schematic of a rapid-prototyped, multi-layered “tadpole” device combining electrode array and microfluidic channel for continuous dielectrophoresis (DEP) separation. A mixture of green and purple particles is introduced at the inlet (right). They are pumped along the channel and sorted by DEP; green particles experience positive DEP (attraction towards the channel wall), purple are repelled to the channel center. At the tadpole “head”, purple particles are extracted from the center, green particles pass around to the end of the device and exit on a separate outlet.
