Abstract

Through the shattered glass is an amazing view of Keelung city where the National Taiwan Ocean University is located. Like breaking a hole in a vacuum box, a new stable mixed-ligand zinc phosphite (NTOU-9) presents interesting structural features and pore characteristics for gas adsorption. This material also showed good adsorption capacity for H2O, CO2, CO, CH4, N2, and H2, as well as selectivity for CO2 over CO, N2, and H2 at 298 K. The possible adsorption sites and selectivity were calculated by using density functional theory (DFT), the ideal adsorption solution theory (IAST), and fitting experimental pure-component adsorption data.
