Abstract

Recent advances in molecular granular materials (MGMs) which are assembled from molecular cluster (MC) units have been systematically reviewed from both molecular mechanisms and application aspects. The hierarchical structural dynamics endow MGMs with unique mechanical properties including tunable viscoelasticity and impact-resistant capacity. A deep understanding of the structure-property relationship is desired to further design MGMs with targeted functionalities.
