Abstract

The Front Cover illustrates a newly synthesized fluorescent probe for the visualization of 18 kDa translocator protein (TSPO). It exhibits a subnanomolar binding affinity (Ki=0.58 nm) and is partially colocalized with TSPO in brain sections of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-injected mice. It possesses favorable fluorescence properties, especially in nonpolar environments and could be used to visualize TSPO overexpression in neuroinflammation and degeneration.
