Abstract

DOI: 10.1002/elps.202100085 The front cover picture demonstrates the electrophoretic separation of carob phenolics by the use of a novel dual electrophoretic system based on the combined use of β-CD and ionic liquid (IL) as electrolyte additives. In particular, a capillary electrophoresis column filled with β-CD and IL (L-alanine tert butyl ester lactate) molecules is demonstrated. Both β-CD and IL play a significant role in the separation process, allowing the complete separation of the target analytes through their synergistic effect. Behind the column, as a background, the electropherogram obtained under the optimum separation conditions is displayed.
