Abstract

The helical magnetic microswimmer is fabricated by self-rolling nanomembrane technology. The structure of the helix, including pitch and diameter, could be precisely tuned through strain engineering. The helical microswimmer could accurately navigate in various liquids under weak rotating magnetic fields due to high loading of the magnetic component. It also performs self-adaptive locomotion in a confined environment benefiting from soft helical structures.
