Abstract

Mol. Nutr. Food Res. 2022, 66, 202200166 DOI: 10.1002/mnfr.202200166 Hyp-Gly-containing peptides are abundant in collagen hydrolysates of Salmo Salar. The peptide OGEFG inhibit platelet aggregation via antagonism effects on P2Y12 receptor to regulate Gβγi-PI3K-Akt and Gαi-cAMP-VASP signaling. Long-term administration of OGEFG significantly reduce atherosclerotic plaque formation without side effects in ApoE–/– mice, indicating the possibility to be developed as an effective diet supplement to prevent atherogenesis and thrombotic disease. This is reported by Bo Li and co-workers in article number 2200166.
