Abstract

The electrification in the Czech (CR) and Slovak Republic's (SR) started in 1920 and was coordinated on the common conceptual state basics till the 1992. From the year 1993 (the splitting former Czechoslovakia to CR and SR) the evolutions of the power systems in both countries have been similar, but partly different. The cooperation power systems in Europe was based on interconnection of the power systems to bigger and huge systems, but the process was also restricted by political splitting in the Europe. The next development of power systems is significantly influenced by new environmental targets.
