Abstract
For this edition of From the Pages of AllergyWatch, I have selected 2 reviews focusing on atopic dermatitis (AD), the theme of this month's Annals. The first article, with comments from Dr Joshi, presented data that revealed an association between the severity of AD and learning disability. The next study, which also had comments from Dr Joshi, had an analysis of a large UK birth cohort that revealed an association between AD and depression and other mental health problems. The last article, with comments from Dr Hernandez-Trujillo, reports on the recent US trends in alpha-gal immunoglobulin E (IgE) testing and the diagnosis of alpha-gal allergy.
