Abstract

For this issue of “From the Pages of AllergyWatch,” I have chosen 3 recent reviews focusing on publications on upper airway allergies, the emphasis of this issue of Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. The first, reviewed by Dr Lee, presents data revealing half of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis without nasal polyps have type 2 inflammation. The next study, also reviewed by Dr Lee, reports improvement in airway function with environmental controls with pest management. The third review, by Dr Joshi, evaluates the effect of high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration on fine particles and the impact on airway inflammation in children with asthma.
