Abstract

Volume 31 marks the start of a new phase in the life of Children's Literature. After a long and successful relationship with Yale University Press, Children's Literature moves, with this volume, to The Johns Hopkins University Press. We are pleased to be working with this distinguished press and look forward to the increased visibility Project Muse will offer our authors and the Children's Literature Association. With this volume, Elizabeth Keyser moves from her expert and active editing of the journal to a position on the Advisory Board. I continue to rely on and appreciate her support as well as that of other Advisory Board members. I am grateful for the day-to-day assistance of Lisa Radcliff, in her role as editorial assistant, the work of Christine Doyle, who continues to assemble and edit the book reviews, and Rachel Fordyce, who compiles "Dissertations of Note." My thanks go also to the readers who contribute their time and expertise to reviewing and responding to submissions, and to the authors. This volume is, above all else, a reflection of their work and commitment to the field of children's literature.
