Abstract
This is my farewell message as Editor of Interface. I am relinquishing my editorship in order to fully assume my duties as a vice-president of ECS. I have edited 15 issues of Interface including this one featuring the Electrodeposition Division—one for each of the twelve Divisions and one Group; plus two special issues, one in which the 50th anniversary of the transistor was commemorated, and one to celebrate the first five years of Interface. I have enjoyed working with all the authors who have contributed to Interface and enjoyed learning the latest science and technology of interest to the featured Division/Group. I have learned much about the publishing of a magazine, particularly from Mary Yess, the ECS Director of Publications and Interface’s Managing Editor. It is Mary’s expertise that makes you want to turn the pages from the stunning cover artwork (from O&Y Design), through the articles, to the back cover. I certainly have had some fun writing these columns.
