Abstract

With the continuous development and progress of society, integrating into first-tier cities is the aspiration of most migrant workers. A large number of migrant workers have flooded into these cities, making significant contributions to the development of the cities. However, the influx of migrant workers also increases the difficulty of urbanization process and brings about problems in employment. These problems include unequal treatment between urban and rural areas and an imperfect social security system, which pose challenges to the integration of migrant workers into the city. This paper analyzes the current living conditions and employment problems of migrant workers through the image of migrant workers in the documentary City Dream and studies the value and significance of the improvement of the system to enable migrant workers to better integrate into the city.
