Abstract

With the end of the Cold War, the recent resurgence of nationalism in Latin America, and the United States-led worldwide war on terror that assumed greater urgency after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, new appraisals of current hemispheric affairs are in order. These three books provide excellent insights that will help readers better understand the contours of and changes in the recent history of U.S.-Latin American relations.
