Abstract
Augmentation of the cheek and mid-face is a foundational part of non-surgical facial rejuvenation. A lifted, full and rounded cheek contributes to the triangle of youth and reflects ambient light to the eyes, resulting in a brighter, healthier appearance. When filling the cheek area, it important to keep in mind gender-related and ethnic variations between faces, and consider how these differences might affect one's injection technique. In this paper, the author will explore how to choose the appropriate dermal filler(s) to inject and suggest where to use them most advantageously. Facial danger zones to avoid when injecting dermal fillers in the cheek area will also be discussed.
