Abstract
The issue of plagiarism was again put in perspective of the Austrian public at the beginning of the year 2021 and unfolded the need for discussion of the Good Scientific Practice, and strategies for prevention of scientific misconduct at institutions of higher education and research institutions. This article summarizes the online panel discussion of the ZHR at the University of Graz on March 24, 2021, which, from an Austrian and German perspective, addressed the necessary measures for promotion of awareness-raising and imparting of Good Scientific Practice in the context of the keywords responsibility and trust, as well as juridical aspects, especially overlooking the recently enacted UG-amendment 2021, and further existing need to reform.
