Abstract
The current COVID-19 pandemic is placing a substantial burden on healthcare systems worldwide and affecting various aspects of daily living. Swift detection of COVID-19 cases is essential to contain the virus’s transmission. Recent studies have demonstrated the potential of chest X-rays as a preliminary diagnostic tool for COVID-19. Moreover, several investigations have utilized machine learning algorithms for the analysis of thorax CT scans and X-rays to diagnose the disease. In our study, we developed a machine learning model using a chest X-ray dataset to identify COVID-19 positive cases, achieving an accuracy rate of over 95 percent. This model can aid in the early identification and treatment of COVID-19 patients, particularly those experiencing lung infections as a result of the disease.
