Abstract
Alain F. Corcos Floyd V. Monaghan Floyd V. Monaghan is professor emeritus of natural science at Michigan State Univ., East Lansing, MI 48824. He eamed his B.S. in Applied Science (1939) and his M.S. in Plant Biochemistry (1941) from Michigan State Univ. He completed his Ph.D. in Higher Education from the Univ. of Michigan in 1961. Monaghan taught intermediate and secondary science in public schools in Michigan during 1941-43 and then taught at the Detroit Institute of Technology before joining the Michigan State faculty in 1946. He has authored numerous papers in conjunction with Alain Corcos on Mendel and his rediscoverers in the Journal of Heredity during the past four years. Alain Corcos is also a professor in the Dept. of Natural Sciences at Michigan State Univ. He was bom in Paris, France, and came to the U.S. after World War II. Corcos eamed his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Botany and Plant Genetics from Michigan State Univ. He has taught at the Univ. of CalifomiaSanta Barbara and the Oregon School of Education, and has been a research associate in the Institute for Cancer Research at the Univ. of Michigan Medical School.
