Abstract

Abstract In this paper, a management structure including supervision and control layers of large water distribution systems is investigated. The supervision layer is devoted to the efficient management on the long run of the upstream water stock and to the definition of users’ priority. The control level is devoted to the regulation of inflows so that the water allocated to each user at the supervision level is efficiently distributed in a hourly basis.
