Abstract
When she enrolled in trucking school, Wendy Farkas had been both a professor and adult learner for more than fifteen years. She first went back to school when she was in her thirties, after a career as a K‐12 educator. Even after she earned her PhD and was hired as a professor, she continued to take courses in administration every semester, slowly adding to her credentials. Her latest transition, however, into her life as a trucker, proved to be one of her most challenging experiences.
