Abstract

The aim of presented work is to present the possibilities of the polymeric electrolyte modifications leading to its practical application in lithium containing batteries. These approaches include synthesis of new polymeric matrices, synthesis of new doping salts and formation of composites. Three main goals are to be achieved by these means. Firstly the improvement of overall ionic conductivity is needed to increase the battery high power performance. Secondly, the improvement of the electrode-electrolyte interface stability is a key to improve the long term performance of the electrochemical system. Finally, the improvement of the cation transference number is important for the low internal polarization of the battery.
