Abstract

Today there exists great divides and crossroads in almost all aspects of the human existence: the human relationship with Earth, with the environment, with the state, and with each other. Unfortunately, we have reached a point in human development in which rationalization has become an albatross. We now require a better system of managing and organizing our intellectual capacity and the data that overwhelms us every day. Identifying, framing, and developing a strategy for addressing these challenges is a challenge in itself. This is compounded by the predominance of either/or paradigms, particularly common within political and policy circles. What is needed is a framework that better integrates us into a system of systems. Process thought is a promising philosophical framework that we must now shape into a practicable technology. This is most true in the realm of international relations.
