Abstract
In mammals, both parents make unique contributions to the offspring and maternal and paternal genomes are required for development. Two recent papers in Cell Stem Cell (Leng etal., 2019; Sagi etal., 2019) study uniparental embryos and uniparental embryonic stem cells to interrogate parent-of-origin effects in human embryogenesis.
