Abstract
The history and development of psychology has been traced from 1892 to the present at Weber State College, Ogden, Utah, which evolved from a Mormon academy into first a normal school, then a state junior college, and finally into a four-year state college. The impact of the Mormon culture and the changing nature of the institution on the development of psychology are outlined from its early beginnings to the present. Views of psychology, as well as the courses and their content, are examined in light of the unique cultural and historical developments at Weber State College.
