Abstract

Powerful computer systems have made new tools available to improve the efficiency of the teaching of scientific concepts. An example is presented in the teaching of electronics with the use of simulated experiments where the behaviour of an operational amplifier can be progressively changed from ideal to real by introducing imperfect electrical characteristics. The use of a programming environment relying on object-oriented tools for development of visualization courseware greatly facilitates the realization of such simulations.
