Abstract

This work focuses on modeling and simulating the behavior of a real-time control system using the Goal Oriented Requirement Engineering approach and Discrete Event System Specification formalism for Realtime. This is the first attempt to combine the goal-based approach with a model of discrete event system to check the safety properties of a real-time control system. In order to bring more insight into the goal-based model and the behavior-based model, we illustrate our methodology by an example of the air traffic control system. To improve the decision making in the modeling process and to remove fault risk from the designing process, a simulation driven by a multi-agent systems is provided.
