Abstract
Abstract: The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into military operations signifies a revolutionary shift in the conduct and strategy of modern warfare. This paper, authored by MAJ Jody Holeton, provides an in-depth analysis of the multifaceted role of AI in enhancing the operational capabilities of the U.S. Army. The study begins with an introduction to the evolving landscape of AI in military domains, emphasizing the need for advanced technologies in the face of rapidly changing combat environments and the pursuit of strategic superiority. The paper delves into the critical role of AI in enhancing decision-making processes, highlighting projects like Maven which utilize AI for real-time intelligence analysis and predictive analytics. The focus then shifts to predictive maintenance, using examples like the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter to demonstrate how AI improves equipment reliability and operational readiness
