Abstract

In order to help GFL teacher trainees at the Department of German Studies at the University of Vienna to acquire “curriculum competence”, the author of the report has offered a seminar that is presented here on curriculum theory, curriculum research and curriculum development in the winter semester 2020 and summer semester 2021. The performance assessment included the creation of GFL curricula by the students themselves, which was carried out in so-called “Teacher Design Teams” or “Curriculum Workshops”. This has also resulted in job-related curricula, the creation of which is discussed in this report.
