Abstract

From the chapter From the Normal School to the Workplace, it expresses the view that normal schools have in the teacher training process, ensuring that the follow-up of graduates is a fundamental part of the development of continuous improvement in the initial training of teachers in basic education. To understand the dimensions in which teachers who graduate from Normal Schools are trained, it is necessary to review the curriculum, the features of the graduate profile and the values that characterize a graduate of Normal Schools. The teacher is made capable and competent through practice in basic education schools, constant reflection, the reflection of values, the integration of technology thought of in the construction of knowledge. Teacher training has an adequate methodology to generate the features of the desirable profile of a teacher in basic education. The task that Normal Schools require is to have the openness to integrate the new skills that a basic education teacher must have in the 21st century. The influence that teachers have is recognized not only at a local level but at a national level. The problems faced by recent graduates are solved through ongoing training.
