Abstract

This study offers an example of ‘standing theology', as distinguished from sitting theology and kneeling theology. Standing theology takes place when theologians take their position within the theologically-shaped community of believers and give publically a critically informed account of the faith that motivates the community. The occasion was the Sunday Eucharist on St Valentine's Day, drawing on 1 Corinthians 13.
