Abstract

Electrical vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircrafts are undergoing rapid development. Aerodynamic modeling of eVTOL is vital for flight control system design, simulation, and handling quality assessment, but still a challenge due to unconventional hybrid aerodynamic layout and distributed electric propulsion. Without need of parametric model structure, the frequency-domain system identification method is more suitable for eVTOL aircraft flight dynamics identification. Since CIFER is embargoed, only old abridged student version can be obtained. This work seeks to provide a frequency-domain system identification software equivalent to CIFER. Flight data of XV-15 tiltrotor aircraft is adopted to verify the effectiveness of this software.
