Abstract

Studying and extracting information from random, non-linear, and unstable signals such as electrical brain signals, is considered a very important research task, especially if we can achieve early detection of brain lesions (such as tumors and inflammatory abscesses). Therefore, in this research, we presented a simple method for processing electrical brain signals (EEG). So that we can help doctors read the EEG and give a preliminary diagnosis of the patient’s condition, in addition to determine the type and location of the brain lesion based on (frequency_ correlation) analysis of the brain’s electrical signals. The (frequency _ correlation) method was used for the brain's electrical signals after extracting its characteristic coefficients by using wavelet transform. We compared the results with the (time- -correlation) method, and the accuracy of results compared with other diagnostic methods reached 90%.
