Abstract
The frequency synthesizer based Wi-Fi controlled smart home electrical appliances system is a remote control system using frequency synthesizer as channel selector, together with Wi-Fi module as transmitter and controller in/outside the home network to control the electrical appliances in the smart home network by applying a remote-control support server installed on the Internet. The benefit of the proposed smart home electrical appliances control system is that as long as the home's Wi-Fi network is reliable, the control system will be working well, regardless of transceiver distance, line of sight barriers etc. Experimental results shown that the proposed system works well for controlling an indoor double storey terrace house's electrical appliances.
