Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a frequency spectrum analyzer utilizing a DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) filter bank in which the peak amplitude of input signal can be detected. CONSTITUTION: Input signals are sampled by a time series signal generation circuit 11 and converted into time series signals which are then stored in a memory 12. A DFT filter bank 15 receives the time series signals read out from the memory 12 through a controller 19 and subject a plurality of desired frequencies to DFT filter bank processing while shifting the window function by predetermined sample points. An absolute value calculation means 16 calculates the absolute value of each output from the DFT filter bank 15. A peak value detection means 17 detects the peak value of each output from the absolute value calculation means 16. A display 18 displays the frequency spectrum based on these peak values.
