Abstract

Simulations using two nonuniform patterns indicate that the port density should match the traffic density to improve both signal quality and traffic throughput. Non-negligible degradation in signal quality and traffic throughput does exist even if radio ports are placed to match the nonuniform spatial traffic distribution. A simple power balance algorithm that requires each port to transmit power according to the local port spacing appears to be effective in reducing the degradation. >
