Abstract

The large-scale wind power integration causes the power system to face the problems of inertia reduction and insufficient frequency regulation capacity. Its active participation in power grid frequency regulation is an important means to solve this problem. Based on the load shedding and frequency modulation control strategy of Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG), this paper proposes a droop control strategy of wind farm based on the equal adjustable capacity proportion mode of wind farm, which realizes the participation of wind pow-er generation in the primary frequency regulation of power grid. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the control strategy are verified based on PSCAD / EMTDC simulation platform.
