Abstract
Conditions of controllability and observability in the frequency domain are presented for a class of distributed parameter systems with unbounded control and observation. The conditions are first given to parabolic distributed parameter systems generated by analytic semigroups. The results are extended to a more general class of distributed parameter systems, the Pritchard-Salamon class.
