Abstract

A review on investigations of parasite frequency distribution in host population is presented. An application of theoretical distribution models for approximation of empirical data, the causes predetermining pattern of parasite distribution, the connection among distribution parameters, as well as the connection between distribution patterns and mechanisms of population regulation are analysed.
