Abstract

In this paper is given an experiment test method to observe and adjust the millimetric wave DR (dielectric resonator) resonant frequency. The method is simple and audio-visual. By use of this method, the resonant frequency of the DR in a DRO (dielectric resonator oscillator) microstrip circuit is adjusted and fixed to the necessary frequency. As a result, the pragmatic design of the millimetric wave DRO engineering became simple and direct. In this paper is given the design method and a well-adjusted DRO: its center frequency is 31.0 GHz. In the temperature range of -40/spl deg/C+50/spl deg/C, the frequency stability may reach 15 ppm//spl deg/C. The DRO has extensive application prospects in use as a frequency converter pump source, transmitting exciting stage and LO in a millimetric wave seeker.
