French Class Enrollment: Teachers’ Perspectives on Causes, Consequences, and Advocacy

Abstract

This article takes a personal look at the French teaching profession's growing concerns tied to enrollment issues. The aim of this article is to highlight four French teachers' perspectives on enrollment issues using the enrollment charts of their suburban school district in southwestern Virginia. The most important components of this article are the teacher interviewees' comments that shed light on the profession from first-hand experience.
