Abstract
Flow and heat transfer in the flat-plate boundary layer is numerically investigated using a differential three-equation turbulence model for the initial freestream turbulence intensity ranging from 1.5 to 9%. An increase in the local friction coefficient and the Stanton number obtained in the calculations is in agreement with the most representative experimental data.
