Abstract
The Freedom of Information (FOI) complaints mostly include delay, the imposition of fees and charges and decisions that do not contain adequate reasons to support claimed exemptions. Commonwealth administration deals well with the personal information end of the FOI, which enables the FOI Act to compel agencies to disclose documents necessary to support a complaint, but FOI requests for general policy and administrative documents are more complex.
