Abstract
Mobile TV is part of a broader revolution in mobile and broadcast. Today mobile devices are used by around two billion people worldwide. Not only does the mobile phone allow people to keep in touch with their network of friends, but it has evolved to become an entertainment device allowing music, games and media to be consumed while on the move. In Europe, 158 million households own and use a television. But the nature of television is changing. Mobile TV is a consumer revolution in the making, 3G should be supplemented by a broadcast technology.
