Abstract

ABSTRACTTechnologies of containment and storage change the materiality and ontology of archaeological artefacts. This article looks at the relationship between ISO shipping containers and the assemblages of values that constitute the illicit trade in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern artefacts. Concealment and revelation are vital properties of this relationship.
