Abstract

The design of nuclear plant facilities to withstand the effects of tornadoes has required estimates of the motion of objects accelerated in a tornado windfield. This has inspired investigations of the three topics necessary for such estimates: 1) A Model of the windfield; 2) aerodynamic properties of the object; and 3) initial conditions for the trajectory.
