Abstract
The heat transfer by free convection from a heated 60° vee-corrugated plate to a cooled flat plate placed above it has been studied, with the cold flat plate and the vees horizontal. Correlations of Nusselt and Grashof numbers have been obtained, and discussed in relation to the correlations obtained by other workers for free convection in air layers bounded by parallel flat surfaces.
